Sugarloaf Llamas
was established in 1983 and today is one of the
preeminent llama breeders. Situated at the foot of
Sugarloaf Mountain in the Siskiyou mountains of
southwestern Oregon, our herd is one of the largest
in the Northwest.
Using three sires with outstanding Chilean, Bolivian and
domestic blood lines, our offspring continue to be a delight and win awards as well. We have sold and shipped
animals across the United States and Canada.
We are a "hands-on"
operation without a ranch manager, so unfortunately
you do not often see us at llama shows and sales. Our
animals, however, have been well represented at llama
events by our clients. We encourage you to visit our Awards page to see what our breeding
program has done. Then
please take a look at a few examples
of our offspring.
Our animals have
been sold at the Celebrity Llama Sale, but most sales
are directly off the ranch. Please review our current
sales
list and then make an appointment and come visit us. We would love to
show you what our breeding program is producing and why llamas are magical.
We are located
near the famous Rogue River valley between Grants
Pass and Medford and only 30 minutes from Interstate
5 so we are convenient to visit and there is much to
do in the area. Medford is serviced by United and
Alaska airlines with daily flights to San Francisco,
Los Angeles, Portland and Seattle.
